Siblings Nursery will look after your children the way we’d expect our own to be looked after and most importantly the way you, as a mammy or daddy would like us to.

We believe that if children are well loved, happy and supported by caring and sensitive childcare professionals they will learn and flourish no end.

We are open Monday to Friday from 7am until 6pm all year round with the exception of all Bank Holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year. We close at 1pm on Christmas Eve for our staff to spend some well-deserved time with their families.

Opening times

Full Day

The nursery is open 7am - 6pm
(Children can be dropped off from 7am. The latest they may be picked up is 6:00pm).

Part Time – am

Children can be dropped off from 7:00am.
The latest they may be picked up is 12:30pm.

Part Time – pm

Children can be dropped off from 1.00pm. The latest they may be picked up is 6.00pm.

We pride ourselves on the homely, warm and friendly environment we have created in each of our nurseries. Siblings Nursery @ the BIC opened in 1994 and has been ran by the current owners since 2007.

It was one of the first day nurseries in Sunderland and over the years has built up a firm reputation as one of the best nurseries in the Sunderland. Siblings Nursery @ the Beacon of Light opened in 2018 and has been a popular choice for local families since opening. In the shadow of SAFC; the prestigious building provides us with all the modern, state of the art facilities needed to provide an exceptional setting for a nursery.

We are very lucky to have an excellent staff team led by amazing senior staff who put the needs of the children at the heart of everything they do. The childcare team have been chosen for their ability to look after and genuinely care for the children who attend our nurseries. We appreciate the trust parents give us to care for and educate their children in our nurseries.

Our Nursery Director – Joanne Anderson has many years experience in the early years sector, spending time working in various nurseries, Children Social Services and as an Early Years Inspector for Ofsted. Joanne is always around to support the senior team and can be found in the nurseries making sure the highest of standards are maintained and that the settings are happy places for our children and staff.

Parents have described us as ‘5 star’ and ‘an extension of our family’ providing care that is ‘second to none’.
